Job Summary
The Economic Development Manager provides strategic leadership across a broad portfolio of economic engagement initiatives within the Economic Development & Real Estate (ED&RE) team. This role oversees complex, cross-functional programs—including the Economic Development Collaborative (EDC), OneUK, Coldstream Research Campus initiatives, and the Office of Business Engagement—ensuring cohesive planning, execution, and alignment with institutional priorities. The manager directs communication strategy and stakeholder facing reporting, serving as managing editor for multiple ED&RE digital platforms and leading the development of high quality presentations, reports, and annual publications that communicate program impact.

In addition, the Economic Development Manager stewards key community and business partnerships, including full lifecycle management of the Cornerstone Community Innovation Partnership (CIP), coordinated partner engagement through OneUK, and data informed relationship development using Salesforce, Tableau, and related tools. The role also conducts benchmarking and policy research to inform ED&RE strategy and contributes to the development of institutional resources and best practices.

The position includes supervisory responsibilities and budget oversight, fostering a collaborative team environment and ensuring responsible stewardship of resources. Success in this role requires strong strategic communication, advanced project and program management, stakeholder engagement, analytical capabilities, and cross-functional leadership.
