Description
The Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Project Manager (PM), to serve as the project manager for Office of State, Local, Tribal and Territorial Preparedness (OSLTTP) program office team supporting the SNS.
Primary Responsibilities
Planning and facilitating projects for the Strategic Logistics Branch.
Leads project teams of various sizes and scopes, and guides projects through to completion.
Works directly with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure deliverables are maintained within the identified scope, timeline, and budget.
Creates long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines; ensuring projects are completed within scope and specified timelines.
Delegates project tasks to team members who are best positioned to complete them.
Presents viable options to stakeholders and team members when presented with multiple alternatives for how to advance with the project.
Serves as the primary point of contact for the project team when multiple stakeholders are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain synchronized.
Performs quality control on the project throughout development to maintain expected standards.
Prudently adjusts schedules and targets on the project as needs of the project change.
Prepares routine status reports and presentations for branch and division senior management regarding project status and executive level updates, presentations and visualizations.
Basic Qualifications
Experience managing logistics programs during declared public health emergencies (PHEs) / military operations support.
Experience with of oversight of the products and processes necessary to accomplish all technical requirements.
Experience in data/analytics.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Required to be on-call 24 hours/7 days a week. Must be able to respond to mission alerts within 15 minutes with a recall of 90 minutes to report to designated location. Must carry a cell phone at all times.
Ability to handle requests from multiple groups/organizations.
Ability to identify errors, problems, or non-standard situations and suggest alternatives.
Proficient in common software, particularly with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Public Trust suitability.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience supporting a government agency.
Technically savvy.
